Dignitaries from the City of Henderson and the Vegas Golden Knights gathered Thursday, March 3, under a bright Nevada sky to cut a ribbon and officially open The Dollar Loan Center.
Vegas broadcaster Dave Goucher hosted the outdoor ceremony, which preceded the State of the City address by Mayor Debra March. Mayor March, VGK owner Bill Foley and Dollar Loan Center CEO Chuck Brennan were among those to address the crowd prior to the ribbon cutting.
Once inside, visitors got their first look at the Southern Nevada Sports Hall of Fame in its new home at The Dollar Loan Center.
While not open yet, visitors also got a peek at The Saddlery team store and the Craggy Range Sports Bar & Grill.
The Dollar Loan Center hosts its first ticketed event on Tuesday, March 8, with the tipoff of the Big West Basketball Championships. The Indoor Football League’s Vegas Knight Hawks play their first game on March 18, while the Henderson Silver Knights move into their new home on April 2.
